Ship2Africa collects, saves and uses personal information of its clients for specific, lawful business purposes. This policy describes how this personal data must be collected, handled and stored to meet the company's data protection standards - and to comply with the law.

We collect, save and use your personal information to support your relationship with us, for example, to receive and store your shipments, delivering them to you, provide service and support, sending you news about Ship2Africa, internal statistics, purchasing items for you etc.

We will not disclose your personal information to anyone outside the Ship2Africa organization, except as necessary to our trusted partners and suppliers to enable Ship2Africa to provide services to you.

Please note that Ship2Africa does not sell personal information to anyone.

The public part of our site can be accessed without giving any private information, whereas the customer section is not accessible without creating a customer's account and as such personal data is required.

If you don't agree with our Privacy Policy, you should not create an account or use the Ship2Africa services.

What do we collect

  • Personal details such as name, Client ID, Addresses, phone numbers,  email addresses, passport or ID numbers etc.
  • Your IP Address is automatically logged by our server

  • Documents of our scanning service

Where is your data stored

Customer Data which we collect is stored on a professional trusted Cloud service provider. They do daily backups of our website content ensuring no interruptions in the use of our website. They use SSL (Secure Socket Layer) in order to secure your data. All sensitive data are transmitted in an encrypted way and stored on a cloud which is protected against unauthorized access.

We cooperate only with certified payment service providers which meet PCI Standards, especially for data transmission of payments made by credit cards. Ship2Africa does not store any information or date with respect to your debit or credit card.

Please note that client stays responsible for security issues regarding the browser used. We advise you to regularly update your browser and anti-virus applications on your device.

Registration / Password

When creating a personal account, client chooses a password which is personal and confidential. This password is saved on Ship2Africa's server and will under no circumstances be disclosed to any member outside the Ship2Africa organization. Client as well as Ship2Africa commit to not sell or communicate them to third parties. Make sure to always store your password confidential and secure and always signing off from your session. You password can be changed anytime under "My account". In case of any loss, fraudulent use or theft of data client must inform Ship2Africa without delay. In such case the personal account will be blocked.

Credit card information

When paying by credit card you are being forwarded to Stripe, a secure and reliable Credit Card payment processor. By using Stripe the credit card data entered is stored in their servers, which guarantees Security and PCI compliance. We do not store your credit card information on our own servers.


Client can pay through PayPal. We fully comply with all related security requirements. We do not store your PayPal data on our own servers.

Scanning service

All scanned documents are stored for 180 days in our database. Scanned documents are forwarded to clients private email address. After 180 days documents are permanently deleted.

Shipment information

Shipment information such as name, address, delivery address, description of goods, value of goods, dimensions of packages and weight are being communicated to trusted partners such as DHL, UPS, TNT as well as to the necessary authorities for export, import, duty and tax purposes.

E-mail address

Your email address will be used for any communication related to Ship2Africa's business transactions. These include, notification about incoming parcels, notification about the sending status of your parcel, information about your shopping assistance orders, enquiries, information emails about new services, forwarding scanned documents etc.  Furthermore, we reserve the right to disclose customer data to official authorities or organizations in cases of delinquencies

Employees complying with our data policies

Ship2Africa staff is advised to treat Client’s data, instructions, messages, phone calls, fax and electronic mails respecting strictest confidentiality guidelines complying with laws of data protection and mail secrecy and to not disclose any information relating to the Client, to any third party not involved in the business process.

Websites linked to our site

By clicking on links of any external websites on the site of Ship2Africa, the business operating the other site will know that you have accessed their site through Ship2Africa. External sites may collect personally identifiable information about you. Ship2Africa does not take over any responsibility or liability for the content of other websites. Please refer to the Privacy Policy of third party website.

Where personal information is stored and processed

In order to guarantee our services it is necessary to store and process your personal data in our systems and the systems of our trusted partners and suppliers. As mentioned in this data policy, when creating a customer's account, you agree that your personal information is stored in those locations.

Your rights

Your personal information can be viewed or modified anytime by logging in to "My Account". When terminating your account we will automatically delete your personal information. On request we provide you a copy of all your personal information hold. Please contact for this purpose.


A cookie is a small amount of data generated by a website and saved by your web browser. Its purpose is to remember information about you, similar to a preference file created by a software application. Cookies help to improve your use of Ship2Africa Website.
